A series of limited edition bronze sculptures based on mathematical objects known as trefoils.

This is a third order non-orientable surface created by world-renowned sculptor Brent Collins in collaboration with Prof. Carlo H. Séquin, the chair of the University of California at Berkeley's Mathematics Department.

This design was generated by Prof. Séquin using his computer program "Sculpture Generator I" based on numerous conversations with Brent Collins. The final execution of the sculpture was based on templates drafted by that program yet constructed by Brent Collins.
